2. Choose the Launch Space

3. Click “Content Management”

4. Click “Modules”

Modules Actions:

  1. Refresh the Modules list after making changes

  2. Create a new Module (more on that here and we will do a demo later in this Pathway)

  3. Search for a specific Module in your list of Modules

  4. Manage Learner Access: You can add learners and learner groups to the Module (See Learners for more info)

  5. Edit Module: Edit the information about the Module:

10. Download Module Content:

11. Generate Test Launcher: This is where you can create a Launcher for a learner on the fly. This Launcher counts towards session numbers and contributes to Insights. See Launchers for more info.:

12. Delete the Module.

Create Module Fields

Module Information

A. Title: This will name the Module in the list of Modules.

B. Description: Any notes you want to have displayed within Launch regarding this Module.

C. Public Module: Any learner in the organization can see it and enrol themselves into the module.

D. Image: Optionally choose an image that the learner will see when viewing a list of Modules they are enrolled in.

Content

A. Bundle: Search and choose a bundle that has already been uploaded under the Content section. If you a launching via Storyflow connection, do not fill this section in.

There is currently not a way to re-name a bundle when you are uploading it. Generally they are listed in the order that they have been uploaded. A suggested tip is to note the name when the file is being uploaded.

B. Select Scenarios: Choose the specific Scenario(s) to be included in this Module. A Project must have one Scenario, but it can have many.

Application

A. Choose Application: If you have set up an LSDK, you will find it here.

LRS Credentials

An external LRS can be linked here.

A. LRS Communication Method: The method we suggest is the “Communicate with LRS via Launch”. This is the option that will allow for session data to be shown. We suggest this option as we can verify that it is an authentic person going through Launch and giving us an authentic session before it is passed onto your system. You are able to use the “Communicate directly with LRS” without it going through Launch.

WebGL

WebGL App Version: If a WebGL App (browser based as opposed to VR training) is uploaded on the main Launch page, you can assign the module here. The WebGL App is a separate offering from VR training and if you’d like further information, speak to Motive staff. You can see our documentation here.

Creating a Module

In the majority of instances, only a few fields are used for creating Modules. These steps are outlined below:

1. Login to Motive

You should be viewing the HUB area that displays the areas you have permissions to access. This can include Launch, Storyflow and Manage Organization. In the example below, we are logged into the account for the company Lakeview Inc. and the individual accessing HUB has permissions for all three areas:

2. Open Storyflow

3. Open the Storyflow Project you want learners to complete

4. Ensure the Scenario you want to create a Module from is in “Published” status, not Draft:

5. Go to the “Bundles” tab

6. Name your Bundle and click “Publish”

7. Click on the elipses to the right of the Bundle and choose “Deploy”:

8. Click on your Initials at the top right of Storyflow and choose “Launch”

9. On the left side of the Launch page, open your Launch Space (typically named after your company)> Content Managment > Modules

10. Click “Create Module”

11. At a minimum:

  • give your Module a Title

  • Under Content, choose “Bundle” then choose the Bundle you deployed in step 7. You will see that you can choose any scenarios that are Published:

12. Click “Create” at the bottom of the page

Export Module to LMS

1. Log into Launch

2. Choose the appropriate organization from top left dropdown if more than one

3. Click on Modules

4. Click on the download icon for the Module you want to export:

5. Click the download icon to the right of the format you would like to download (as determined by your LMS):

6. Import to your LMS per their instructions.
