Definitions
Organization Level Permissions
Platform | Permission Name | Definition |
---|
Manage Organization | Identity Organization Admin | A super administrator of an organization. Gives the ability to add users, assign roles and configure single-sign on for the organization. |
Launch | Launch Organization Admin | An administrator of the Launch service. They are able to manage and assign roles for spaces within Launch. |
Launch | Launch Organization Member | Gives the user the ability to access Launch and be added to spaces to configure and monitor training content. |
Launch | Launch Learner | A learner in the organization. They are able to view and start only their own training content. |
Storyflow | Storyflow Organization Admin | An administrator of the Storyflow service. They are able to manage and assign roles for spaces within Storyflow. |
Storyflow | Storyflow Organization Member | Gives the user the ability to access Storyflow and be added to spaces to create training content. |
Hub Permissions
Only individuals with the Identity Organization Admin permission can see and manage Hub settings. There is no member level permission.

1. Log into Hub
2. Choose the appropriate organization from the dropdown at the top of the left menu if there is more than one
3. Click Organization
4. Click the edit icon for the appropriate user
5. Go to Roles and click the dropdown
6. Choose IDENTITY_ORGANIZATION_ADMIN
7. Click outside the box
8. Submit
9. Repeat (as needed) for every Organization the user should have this role for
Launch Permissions
As a company, you can have one instance of Launch. Within that instance, you can have several organizations (though this may not be typical) and within each Organization you can have distinct Spaces. User membership and permissions for the Organization and Space levels can be assigned and controlled by individuals with the Launch Organization Admin permission.

The above permissions are what we call Organization Level permissions, as they apply to the platforms at the top level. Storyflow and Launch have a second level of permissions that should be determined/granted once the Organization Level permissions have been set.
You can see an individual’s Organization Level permissions by navigating to Manage Organization > Organization and then click edit next to the individual’s name:
Space Level Permissions
Platform | Permission Name | Definition |
---|---|---|
Launch | Admin | This permission is given to a Collaborator within a Launch Space. Can Manage (add/remove) Collaborators within the designated Launch Space. |
Launch | Member | This permission is given to a Collaborator within a Launch Space. Can Manage Content within the designated Launch Space. |
You can find the Launch Space Permissions by navigating to: Launch > Admin > (choose Organization): | ||
Storyflow | Admin | This permission is given to a Collaborator within a Storyflow Workspace. The Admin permission allows for the wider ability to delete things in Storyflow. Most notably: Delete Bundles, Delete Projects, and Restore Backups. Additionally they can add other Collaborators to the Space. |
Storyflow | Author | This permission is given to a Collaborator within a Storyflow Workspace. An individual that will be authoring content, but does not have access to the deletion permissions that an Admin possesses. |
