Steps
These steps are the same shown in the video above.

Go to your Storyflow project and click the Backups tab.

Enter a Name for your project backup and click the Backup button. Once complete, your Storyflow project Backup will be listed in the Backups section.

Click on the three dots next to the name of your Storyflow Backup and select Download.

Open your new, empty Storyflow project and click on the Backups tab.

Create a Backup
Before progressing, ensure that you understand when to use a Bundle and when to use a Backup.
These steps will allow you to create a backup file of your Storyflow Project that you can then save to your computer for a secure backup, or you can then take this Backup and create a duplicate copy in a new Project.

Open the Storyflow Project
Go to the “Backups” tab at the top of the page
Give the Backup a name
Add an optional Description
Click “Back Up”

Do not click Backup multiple times! Give it at least five minutes and then refresh and see if it is in the list on the right. |
Once complete, you will see the Backup published on the right hand side of the page.
Download the Backup
To download the Backup to your computer, click the ellipses to the right of the file name and choose “Download”.
Restore From a Backup
Only individuals with the Admin Permission for the Workspace you are in may do Restores (see this article).
Once you have a copy of the Backup file, you can duplicate the Scenario in a new Project.

Open the new Project in Storyflow
Go to the “Backups” tab at the top of the page
Click “Restore”
Attach the file you previously downloaded per the instructions
Wait for confirmation
Refresh your browser
Instead of using drag and drop, you can also click in the drop zone, navigate and select the backup Backup file.
6. Once complete, close the Restore Project window and refresh the browser.

Once complete, you will see the Backup Restored by navigating to the Home Dashboard in Storyflow and looking at the Scripts/Catalogs/etc.
Common Troubleshooting
Issue: When I upload the file to restore, I see an error message “Caution: This backup file may not be correctly formatted. Proceed only if you are sure.”

This is caused by one of two things:
You renamed your backup and removed the word “backup” from the file name
You are trying to Restore a Bundle or another file
Troubleshooting steps to try in order:
Check to make sure the file is a Backup file - not a Bundle and continue
Issue: My Restore/Backup did not work
Troubleshooting steps to try in order:
Do not click the Backup/Bundle/Restore button multiple times
Wait 5 minutes then refresh your browser and check again
Ensure you have the correct permissions - example: you cannot Restore Backups without the Workspace Permission “Admin” (see this article)
