Overview

The Unequip object The Unequip object interaction emits an event once the learner removes an equipped object from a target. The target must be an object that is specified in an Equip Target resourcean Equip Target resource.

An example of how the Unequip object the Unequip object interaction could be used is when the learner must unequip their PPE once they are done with it. After unequipping the objects, the scenario progresses.

Example in the Headset

In the Workshop Safety environmentMotive Lab, I 've asked want the learner to Equip the safety hat.  Now I want the learner to unequip it.  

  • If they are not in a frame already, create a scene objects frame and add:

    • World Object (in this example, the Safety Hat)

    • Target (in this example, head)

    • Optional - A prompt anchor - where I want the text prompt to appear (in this example, Utility Cart):

  • Add the Unequip Resource to the frame:

    • Choose the World Object and Target.

    • Add a prompt (optional).  In this example, I've specifically anchored the prompt anchor to the Utility Cart.  Otherwise, the text would be above the object.  As the object is a hat on the learner's head, they would not see the prompt if I left this blank.

  • I've additionally added a notification once the unequip is complete:

remove their gloves and put them in the waste bin.

  • Add the Object(s) to be equipped and the Target(s) to a frame in the script.

  • (Optional) add instructions for the learner:

  • Add the Unequip Resource and fill it out. In this example, there are two targets - one for each hand:

  • (Optional) in this example, after the learner has unequipped the gloves I want them to Place them in the waste can:
