Overview
The Dialog resource enables audio to play from the direction of the Character. In addition, the lips of the Character will move while the audio is playing.
Required Fields
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Characters | Specifies which character(s) will speak the audio. |
Audio | The audio file the character(s) speaks. |
Optional Fields
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Close when Complete | When checked the Close event fires when the audio file finishes playing. |
Priority | Specifies how high the priority of the dialog is. If multiple dialogs are used at the same time, the highest priority action will take effect. |

This is a simple example of using the Dialog resource.
In the first frame I will add the character as a scene object (note, the character has been spawned in a different script already):
In the next frame I’ll add Chad as the “Character” and when I click on the “+” next to “Audio” I can choose the audio file from my library:
