Overview
Audio resources are sound files to play in the experience - can be background noise, voiceover, sound effects, etc.
Required Fields
Field Name | Description |

Media | The Sound File. |
Optional Fields
Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Anchors | Set an anchor if you want to attach the sound to an object to make it seem like the sound is coming from the area specified. |
Loop | Check if you want the sound to repeat. |
Volume | 0 to 1, 1 is the default. |
Pitch | Adjust the pitch of the sound file. |
Track | Specify the track for the audio file to indicate its priority.

Timer | Set delay or time of day settings. |
Priority | The order of the sounds.

Events
Open, Activate (can be active and not open if it is in line in a narrator track, for instance), Close (unless on loop), Complete (unless on loop).
Stopping the Audio
To end the audio early, let’s say if a learner closes a screen message you want to end the associated audio, you can use a Deactivate Resource. Note that if the track is “Narrator” it will play to the end and the Deactivate Resource will not stop the track.
Example in the Headset
In this example, I want to play some ambient fan noise in the Motive Lab.
Open the frame you'd like to insert the audio into.
Drag and drop the Audio resource into the resources pane of the frame.
Click on Media. You will be presented with a list of audio files that you've previously added to this project.
Click on the audio file you'd like to add.
Choose any of the optional fields.
In this example I’ve chosen the following optional fields:
Loop
Ambient Track:
This is what the learner will experience - listen for the fan noise to start. Note that in my script I have assets spawn first and then the background sound will start:
