I've set up an example of this using the article How to use Timer Conditions to Prompt the User.

In this scenario, the learner has to click on the "ok" button of the welcome message to proceed.

If the learner does click on the "ok" button, we would not want this timed hint to play.  So, I've added a Close Frame resource as this article suggests and it will remain unplayed.
